Sakis Decossard

Sr. Project Manager

Sakis is responsible for structuring, negotiating and securing strategic business relationships and wind project development in the upper Midwest. 

Prior to OwnEnergy, Sakis was an Edison design engineer with GE Energy in its gas and steam turbines divisions. While at GE, Sakis led the steam-path aerodynamics design of the High Efficiency Advanced Technology steam turbine, among other initiatives. He also worked at Rohm and Haas, a chemical company, where he led the due diligence effort on acquisitions. With OwnEnergy, Sakis has successfully completed the development of a 51 MW wind energy project in ERCOT North Zone of Texas. 

Sakis holds an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, an MS in Aeronautical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a BS with distinction in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. 

He enjoys working with non-profit organizations such as Appropriate Infrastructure Development Group (AIDG), and other organizations focusing on increasing productivity, and strengthening the economies of low-income and developing countries.
