Board Members
Michael Armstrong
Michael Armstrong spent fourteen years with the AES Corporation where he served as Vice President and had regional responsibility for operating power generation businesses, plant construction and new business development across a European fleet of over 6GW. Mr. Armstrong had responsibility for Drax, the largest power plant in Western Europe and oversaw the development of Cartagena, the largest independent greenfield project developed in Europe for a decade. Mr. Armstrong is also the founder and director of two companies: Debentures Limited and OnPower Limited. Michael Armstrong is a chartered engineer, has a degree from Cambridge University, and holds an MBA from Manchester Business School.
Richard Klein
Mr. Klein is the CEO and Founder of Quixotic Systems, Inc., a New York City based solar systems integrator. He is also a real estate investor and has established Phoenix Fire Funds, to invest in Energy Technology companies. Richard Klein has been an early stage investor in several renewable energy companies, among them Q-Cells AG, Prism Solar (Board of Directors), Solaria Corporation (Advisory Board), Iosil Corp (Board of Directors), the Solar Center, and the Clear Skies Group. Mr. Klein holds a BA in Philosophy from Colgate University and did postgraduate studies in Mathematics and Physics at Columbia University.
Jason Olim
Jason Olim was the founder and CEO of CDNOW (NASDAQ:CDNW) from 1994-2001, which he took public in 1998 and took private in 2000 in a sale to Bertelsmann. Mr. Olim earned the Entrepreneur of the Year awards from various organizations, including the Small Business Association, Arthur Andersen and the Greater Philadelphia Venture Group. Jason Olim consults for startup companies on strategy, fundraising and organizational development. He is a frequent guest lecturer at business schools and is a co founder of Dorado Capital, Inc. Olim is a graduate of Brown University with a degree in computer science.
